Day off in South Lake Tahoe

After a long day traveling from Jackson to Tahoe, the team enjoyed a nice day off in South Lake Tahoe to relax and get some stuff done. For the first time since June 5fth I slept in past 6:00, which was great. After getting up, a few of us went and washed clothes at a local laundry mat and then as a team we all went down to Lake Tahoe and went paddle surfing. It was really fun trying something new, although the water was absolutely freezing.

After a bag lunch on the beach we were released for a couple of hours to run some errands so I sent some extra stuff home and got a haircut. The final thing of the day was dinner at the Blue Angel Café. The owners of the restaurant were extremely gracious and giving while in Tahoe. They not only sponsored our dinner tonight, but also our sack lunches at the beach, the paddle surfing, and breakfast. And the interesting thing about it is the gentleman has no connection to Pi Kappa Phi or Push America. He is just a very nice guy who loves what we are doing.

Wake up is at 6:30 and I am excited to get back on the bike tomorrow. We have a short ride of 30 miles, but it includes about 2000 feet of incline.

Carson City, Nevada here we come.
